Experimentation, comfort and uniqueness are the key words to creating something in which the person is at the center and finds a creative place in the dress to live through free self- expression. Always passionate about essences, she believes that perfume contains notes of extraordinary evocative power, and that multi-sensory is a universal medium for any design research and to create a perfect bridge between design and the person.

EDOARDO BERTOZZINI

Edoardo Bertozzini, classe 1989, rappresenta con orgoglio la quarta generazione della storica profumeria “Bertozzini dal 1913” situata a Roma in Via Cola di Rienzo. In attività dal 2010, è riuscito, insieme al padre, a mantenere sempre il passo con i tempi, permettendo al negozio di essere oggi un punto di riferimento per gli amanti della profumeria artistica. Il suo obiettivo è sempre stato quello di avere un selezione di brand attenta e coerente, seguito da un servizio di consulenza alla ven- dita professionale e dettagliata in ogni aspetto. “La speranza è che questo bel momento della profumeria artistica indipendente possa crescere e durare a lungo.”

Edoardo Bertozzini, born in 1989, proudly represents the fourth gene- ration of the historic perfumery “Bertozzini dal 1913” located in Rome in Via cola di Rienzo. In business since 2010, he has managed, together with his father, to always keep up with the times, allowing the shop to now be a point of reference for lovers of artistic perfumery. His goal has always been to have a careful and coherent selection of brands, followed by a professional and detailed sales consultancy service in every aspect. “The hope is that this beautiful moment of independent artistic perfumery can grow and last a long time.”

ANN BOUTERSE

Indigo Perfumery è stata fondata nel 2013 a Cleveland, Ohio da Ann Bouterse, una vera intenditrice di fragranze. La sua visione era quella di creare uno spazio in cui gli amanti dei profumi potessero esplorare, scoprire e connettersi con l’arte del profumo. La boutique propone linee accuratamente curate di profumi di nicchia e naturali, realizzati da aziende artigianali più piccole, provenienti da tutto il mondo. Indigo è il punto di riferimento per i profumi artigianali unici in Ohio.

Indigo Perfumery was founded in 2013 in Cleveland, Ohio by Ann Bouterse, a true connoisseur of fragrance. Her vision was to create a space where perfume lovers could explore, discover, and connect with the art of scent. GIULIA BRIGLIADORI

Laureata in “Controllo di Qualità dei prodotti per la Salute” presso l’Università di Bologna. Grazie al tirocinio curriculare ha conosciuto l’azienda Farotti Essenze che le ha permesso di svolgere il periodo di stage e scrivere la tesi. In quei pochi mesi si è innamorata del mondo dei profumi, per lei del tutto nuovo e inesplorato e oggi, a distanza di 7 anni, continua a lavorare per Farotti Essenze dove è uno dei profumieri creativi. La sua formazione nel mondo della profumeria parte con l’affiancamento al profumiere Senior, Giuliano Farotti, fondatore dell’azienda, per poi continuare con vari corsi del GIP a Grasse. Oggi esiste una scuola interna all’azienda, Ateneo dell’Olfatto, con la quale collabora alla diffusione della cultura olfattiva a chiunque abbia voglia di immergersi in questo fantastico mondo profumato.

Graduated in “Quality Control of Health Products” at the University of Bologna. Thanks to the curricular internship she got to know the Farotti Essenze company which allowed her to carry out the internship period and write her thesis. In those few months she fell in love with the world of perfumes, completely new and unexplored for her and today, 7 years later, she continues to work for Farotti Essenze where she is one of the creative perfumers. Her training in the world of perfumery starts with working alongside the senior perfumer, Giuliano Farotti, founder of the company, and then continues with various courses at the GIP in Grasse. Today there is a school within the company, Ateneo dell’Olfatto, with which she collaborates to spread olfactory culture to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in this fantastic perfumed world.

GIOVANNI D’AGOSTINIS

Laureato in Chimica industriale, è un cosmetologo di lunga e provata esperienza. Ha lavorato in grandi aziende italiane in qualità di direttore tecnico. Oggi è consulente d’azienda. Ha pubblicato molti articoli tecnici e libri tra cui Il manuale del cosmetologo. È direttore scientifico della nota rivista Kosmetica. Ha una competenza specifica in fragranze e profumi. Ha fondato da tempo, con Claudia Scattolini, la scuola di profumeria presso Accademia di Tecniche Nuove.

Graduated in Industrial Chemistry, he is a cosmetologist with long and proven experience. He worked in large Italian companies as a technical director. Today he is a company consultant. He has published many technical articles and books including Il manuale del cosmetologo. He is the scientific director of the well-known magazine Kosmetica. He has specific expertise in fragrances and perfumes. He founded some time ago, with Claudia Scattolini, the perfumery school at the Accademia di Tecniche Nuove.

IRENE D’INTINO

Responsabile Eventi della Libreria Spazio Sette. Dopo diversi lavori in ambito editoriale, per dieci anni lavora a Bianconero Edizioni, casa editrice per ragazzi. Nel 2022 partecipa all’apertura della nuova libreria Spazio Sette, a Roma, che ha ospitato nelle sue sale eventi affrescate l’edizione 2024 del Premio Aromata.

Events Manager of the Spazio Sette Bookshop. After various jobs in the publishing industry, she worked at Bianconero Edizioni for ten years, a children’s publishing house. In 2022 she joined the opening team of the new Spazio Sette bookshop in Rome, which hosted the 2024 edition of the Aromata Prize in its frescoed event rooms.

ALBERTO FERRARI

Classe 1961, milanese di nascita e romano di adozione. Ai master in Economia affianca quelli delle scuole di profumeria come Mouillettes & Co. Appassionato di profumi, ne è avido collezionista da sempre. Apprezzato conoscitore e valutatore di profumi indipendente, svela la sua collezione dal profilo Instagram @albsgrenouille. Citazione letteraria sin troppo riconoscibile da tutti i fragrance addicts.

Born in 1961, Milanese by birth and Roman by adoption. Alongside his master’s degrees in Economics, he has masters from perfumery schools such as Mouillettes & Co. Passionate about perfumes, he has always been an avid collector. Appreciated independent perfume connoisseur and evaluator, he reveals his collection from the Instagram profile @albsgrenouille. Literary quote easily recognizable by all fragrance addicts.

MARIACELESTE LOMBARDO

Nata e cresciuta in un piccolo paese della Sicilia occidentale, Mariaceleste Lombardo ha respirato i profumi della sua terra, tra zagare e gelsomini, in un luogo circondato da vigneti e frutteti al sole. Dopo le scuole superiori, si trasferisce in Toscana, dove inizia la formazione che – dopo la laurea in Chimica e, a Grasse, il Technical Degree in Fragrance Creation and Sensory Evaluation - la porterà, nel 2021, a essere una delle profumiere di Moellhausen.

Per Mariaceleste profumarsi è comunicare e nel comunicare con il profumo ognuno ha una grande responsabilità: perché l’aura olfattiva ci annuncia agli altri e lascia un vivo ricordo di noi. Un ricordo indelebile.

Born and raised in a small town in western Sicily, Mariaceleste Lombardo breathed the scents of her land, among orange blossoms and jasmine, in a place surrounded by vineyards and orchards in the sun. After high school, she moved to Tuscany, where she began training which - after a degree in Chemistry and, in Grasse, the Technical Degree in Fragrance Creation and Sensory Evaluation - will lead her, in 2021, to be one of the perfumers of Moellhausen.

For Mariaceleste, perfuming oneself means communicating and in communicating with perfume everyone has a great responsibility: because the olfactory aura announces us to others and leaves a vivid memory of us. An indelible memory.

SARAH McCARTNEY

Ex docente e copywriter diventata profumiera, che ha fondato 4160 Tuesdays nel 2011, dopo aver scritto un racconto, The scent of Possibility, la storia di un maestro profumiere che creava fragranze per ricordare alle persone i momenti felici della loro vita. Da allora, ha creato una collezione più volte premiata, che dà vita a questa idea. Sarah e il team realizzano a mano tutte le loro fragranze nel loro studio di West London.

Nel 2019 ha fondato Scenthusiasm, una scuola di profumi online a prezzi accessibili, per aiutare altri profumieri indipendenti a creare i propri profumi. È coautrice di The Perfume Companion, pubblicato nel 2021, una guida per chi si profuma.

Sarah McCartney is a former lecturer and copywriter turned perfumer, who founded 4160Tuesdays in 2011, after writing a short story, “The Scent of Possibility”, featuring an artisan perfumer who made fragrances to remind people of happy times in their lives. Since then she has created an award winning collection which brings this idea to life. Sarah and her team handmake all their fragrances in their West London studio.

In 2019 she set up Scenthusiasm, an affordable online scent school, to help other indie perfumers create their own scents.
She is co-author of “The Perfume Companion”, published in 2021, a guide for perfumer wearers.

FRANCESCA PIMPINELLI

Classe ‘93. Fin da bambina ha sempre scritto storie. Poi, da più grande, ha iniziato con le poesie. La scrittura ne ha accompagnato la vita, come ha fatto anche la musica. Dopo il liceo diploma classico ha seguito l’inclinazione di famiglia per la scienza, all’università. Per quanto riguarda la missione della vita, ora, finalmente, si dedica alla più grande passione: la recitazione. Nel 2023 pubblica con Gattomerlino Ritratti Olfattivi: una galleria di cinquanta personaggi, ciascuno ispirato da un odore.

Born in 1993, since she was a child she has always written stories. Then, when older, she started with poetry. Her writing accompanied her life, as did her music. After graduating from high school, she followed the family inclination for science to university. As for her life’s mission, now, finally, she dedicates herself to her greatest passion: acting. In 2023 she publishes “Ritratti Olfattivi” published by Gattomerlino: a gallery of fifty characters, each inspired by a smell.

GIUSEPPE SQUILLACE

Professore Ordinario di Storia Greca all’Università della Calabria ed esperto di profumeria antica noto a livello nazionale ed internazionale. I suoi attuali interessi di ricerca comprendono Teofrasto e il De odoribus, e profumi e spezie nel mondo antico. Su questi temi ha pubblicato numerosi articoli e monografie, tra le quali Il profumo nel mondo antico (Olschki, 2010, nuova edizione 2020); Le lacrime di Mirra. Miti e luoghi dei profumi nel mondo antico (Il Mulino, 2015); Gli inganni di Cleopatra. Fonti per lo studio dei profumi antichi (Olschki, 2022); Nella bottega del profumiere. Tecniche e segreti di un’arte antica attraverso Teofrasto, Apollonio Mys e Plinio il Vecchio (Mondadori - Le Monnier, 2023).

Full Professor of Greek History at the University of Calabria and international expert on the ancient perfumery. His current research interests include Theophrastus and De odoribus, and perfumes and spices of the ancient world. On these topics he has published numerous articles and monographs, including “Perfumes in the ancient world” (Olschki, 2010, new edition 2020); “Myrrh’s tears. Myths and places of perfumes in the ancient world” (Il Mulino, 2015); “The Deceptions of Cleopatra. Sources for the study of the ancient perfumes” (Olschki, 2022); “In the perfumer’s shop. Techniques and secrets of an ancient art through Theophrastus, Apollonius Mys and Pliny the Elder” (Mondadori - Le Monnier, 2023).
